California Center for Cooperative Development Seeks Visionary New Executive Director

We connect sectors, foster economic democracy, and strengthen community resilience.
We are now seeking our next Executive Director - a strategic, collaborative leader who will shape the future of cooperative development statewide. This full-time, exempt, hybrid position (based in Davis, CA) offers a competitive salary and comes with strong benefits including health coverage, retirement contributions, generous paid time off, and professional development support.
What You’ll Do As CCCD’s chief executive officer, you will provide inspiring leadership and work closely with our Board, staff, and stakeholders to:
- Drive long-term strategic planning and organizational growth
- Lead fundraising from philanthropic grants, individual donors, and earned income
- Oversee high-impact programs in cooperative technical assistance and education
- Build powerful partnerships and advocate for pro-cooperative policies
- Manage operations, finances, and a high-performing team
Who We’re Looking For You bring at least five years of leadership experience in nonprofits, cooperative development, or mission-driven organizations, plus proven success in fundraising and financial sustainability. You are deeply committed to cooperative principles, emotionally intelligent, and skilled at building trust across diverse communities. Experience in the cooperative ecosystem is highly desired, as is Spanish language proficiency and a background in justice movements.
Timeline & How to Apply Applications are due by 11:59 p.m. PST on May 21, 2026. Interviews will take place in June and July, with an anticipated late-August start date.
We strongly encourage applicants from historically marginalized communities to apply.
