Help CCCD Mend a $90,000 Funding Gap

A federal grant that was awarded to CCCD has not been paid. As a result, we are currently facing an unexpected $90,000 funding gap

We are not slowing down.
We are not stepping back.
And we are not giving up on the communities we serve.
But we need your help. Please make a tax deductible donation now.

What CCCD Is Doing Right Now

Despite this setback, we continue to:

  • Build and support worker-owned businesses that create democratic workplaces and prioritize the needs of workers.
  • Help residents cooperatively purchase manufactured home parks, providing them control of the land beneath their home, along with stability, security, and affordability.
  • Support farmers in maintaining control of their products through cooperative aggregation and marketing.
  • Develop food cooperatives to expand local access to healthy, affordable food.
  • Create cooperative homeownership opportunities for renters locked out of traditional homeownership.
  • Diversifying CCCD funding sources, actively pursuing non-federal grants and revenue.

At the same time, we are making difficult internal sacrifices:

  • Staff are delaying cost-of-living and other increases.
  • Retirement benefit payments are being postponed.
  • Our Executive Director is deferring her own pay.

We are doing everything we can to responsibly close the funding gap.

Why This Matters

Cooperatives are needed now more than ever.

At a time when wealth and decision-making power are increasingly concentrated, cooperatives offer something different: shared ownership, democratic control, and economic power built by and for communities.

Through cooperation, people join together to meet common needs — and control the businesses they create.

  • This is how we create economic justice.
  • This is how we keep wealth rooted locally.
  • This is how we bring power to ordinary people

How You Can Help

We are asking you to help us mend this $90,000 gap so that our work does not slow at the very moment when it is most needed.

Your contribution will:

  • Keep cooperative businesses growing
  • Protect affordable housing and homeownership pathways
  • Support local farmers and food systems
  • Strengthen democratic economic power in our communities

Every dollar makes a difference.

Please stand with CCCD and donate now.
Help us mend this gap — and continue building an economy rooted in democracy, equality, and shared prosperity.
